XFL OPENING ODDS & PROPS

Four players familiar to NFL fans are favored to dominate in the XFL.

Josh Johnson QB of the LA Renegades is the MVP favorite (9/1); Landry Jones QB for the NY Guardians is favored (11/2) to lead the league in passing yards; running back Cameron Artis-Payne of the Dallas Renegades is the favorite (8/1)  to lead the league in rushing yards; and wide receiver Sammie Coates of the Houston Roughnecks is the favorite (9/1) to lead the league in receiving yards.

Johnson and Jones are also expected to battle for the inaugural XFL Championship with the Dallas Renegades (3/1) and the NY Guardians (4/1) the odds-on favorites. The LA Wildcats and Tampa Bay Vipers are both at 5/1.

With Seattle and DC playing the first XFL game on Saturday Feb 8 at 2 pm ET, running backs Jhurell Pressley of DC (6/1) and Kenneth Farrow of Seattle (6/1) are favored to score the league’s first touchdown.

And, even though the upstart league has vowed the stay away from players with checkered pasts, the odds-makers do think the need for attention might force them to sign players with baggage.  Among the favorites are:

Chad Johnson (4/1), Josh Gordon (8/1), Vontaze Burfict (9/1), Randy Gregory (12/1) and Johnny Manziel (35/1).  The odds-makers are also offering 2/1 odds that an XFL teams signs a college freshman or sophomore during the 2020 season.

I'm a dad, youth soccer coach, and team statistician for the oldest indoor football team in the world, the Omaha Beef. I own a design agency in Omaha, NE called little guy design. I’ve married six couples in 10 years and my Marriage to Still Married ratio is 6:6. I always say, it isn’t so much about the “love,” as it is the tasteless jokes that became vows. I started the I-80 Sports Blog to have all the work I've published located in one place and to write about things I want to write about. I don't take anything too seriously and it is a real time saver.
