In honor of what some call the greatest “comeback” in history via Jesus, check out this list of the five greatest comebacks in NBA history:

2004 – Tracy McGrady – 13 points in 35 seconds

McGrady scored 13 points in the last 35 seconds of a game against the San Antonio Spurs, with four consecutive 3 pointers (one of which was part of a four-point play), including a steal and the game-winning 3 pointer with 1.7 seconds left in the game that helped the Rockets win 81–80.

1995 – Reggie Miller – 8 points in 9 seconds

The New York Knicks had a 105-99 lead with 18.7 seconds left in Game 1 of the 1995 Eastern Conference semifinals. Miller hits a 3-point shot with 16.4 seconds left, immediately steals the ensuing inbounds pass and quickly ran out to the 3-point line and hit another three to tie the game at 105 with 13.3 seconds left. Then he hit two free throws to win it.

2010 – Paul Milsap – 11 points in 28 seconds

“Big Sap” scored a career-high 46 points against the Miami Heat in a 116-114 overtime victory after coming back from a 22-point deficit. Millsap scored 11 points in 28 seconds at the end of regulation, including three three-pointers, one more than he had made in his entire career before then. He also hit a buzzer-beater to force overtime. It marked the first home loss for the newly assembled Heat trio of Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh.

2008 – Celtics rally from 28 point deficit versus Lakers in NBA Finals

The Lakers established a 35–14 lead after the first quarter, which was the largest first-quarter lead in NBA Finals history. The Lakers held their ground for most of the game and lead by as many as 24 points in the third quarter. The C’s went on a 21-3 run to end teh third and took the lead with 4:07 left in the fourth, a led they would not relinquish. This was the biggest NBA Finals comeback since 1971.

1996- Utah Jazz rally from 36 down to defeat the Nuggets

The Utah Jazz overcame a 36-point deficit to defeat the Denver Nuggets at home on November 27, 1996. Utah trailed 70-36 at halftime, but outscored Denver 71-33 in the 2nd half to win 107-103. This is the largest overall deficit overcome in NBA history.
